Exploring Connections
click for larger image
Joseph Sawyer was an artist.  He suffered with depression and committed suicide at the age of 21.  There is a connection between the creativity on display in this exhibit and the depression Joe suffered.  There is also a connection between depression and suicide.

Exploring Connections is an exhibit created in the hopes of helping to bring these connections to light.  We can all be more aware of the effects of depression on ourselves and those around us.  Depressive illnesses rank as the eleventh leading cause of death in the U.S.  We can all benefit from taking the time to consider these issues and what we can do differently in our lives.
